Bookkeeper | Accounts Assistant 70-100%
Must be fluent with Sage50, in English and German
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join our small friendly team in Zug.
You'll need current experience working within an accountancy practice dealing with client work, proficient in preparing accounts to trial balance.
Ideally, you'll be qualified as a "Treuhänder" or accountant but we'll consider candidates who are qualified by experience.
You must be fluent with Sage50 Accounts, Microsoft Office (predominantly Word and Excel).
It would also be advantageous if you had experience using Salary365.
You will take full responsibility for client work and must be able to work with absolute accuracy. As well as inputting purchase and sales invoices your responsibilities will include preparation of VAT Returns, bank reconciliation, management reports and tax returns.
You will be responsible for:
- Posting transactions to sales and purchase ledgers using Sage
- Bank and credit card reconciliation
- VAT returns
- Tax returns
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Preparation of accounts to review stage for a portfolio of clients
- Payroll processing
Your key skills / attributes will include
Good communication skills with good use of written English

Well organised with the ability to work independently
A strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly see any irregularities in accounts
Some flexibility in working hours may be required.
